Commiphora mukul (Muqil or Guggul), oleo-gum, has been in use for thousands of years as a medicine Unani and Ayurvedic medicinal systems. It was primarily used swellings, inflammation, piles, arthritis urinary disorders. Among its various types Muqil-I-Arzaq, gum, having reddish hue is considered to be the best form Muqil purposes. revealed inhibit nuclear factor-kb, regulator inflammatory response, act potent antagonist receptors androgens, mineralocorticoides, glucocorticoides. versatile herb with diverse benefits which demand scientific validation. A coherent review properties, benefits, traditional uses studies Muqil, along overall processes involved from collection consumption judiciously described this paper. The aim provide base multiple research works, validating different chronic ailments.
